The United Way of Mifflin-Juniata provides children, adults, families and seniors with education, awareness and recreational opportunities to improve their daily life.
Our Focus
Humanitarian Services helps individuals, families, and communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. This program also offers critical assistance and resources to service members, veterans, and their families globally 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year.
Summer Day & School In-Service Camp is a recreational youth program that consists of 8-9 weeks of themed summer day camps and in-service camps throughout the year.
The Connecting with Kids program promotes positive interaction between youth and their peer's during the after school programs, special activity nights, Sonshine Club, Rainbow Summer, Fun in the Sun and Power Packs during the school year.
The Corrective Eye Care program provides an eye exam to those who are uninsured or unable to afford general eye care. The program also provides vision screenings to preschoolers and children at kindergarten registration and if need be, eyeglasses.
The Nurse's Pantry is an in-school resource for clothing, toiletries and other wellness products so kids can succeed in school and in life.
