The Abuse Network provides services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other serious crimes in Mifflin and Juniata Counties. These services include a 24-hour crisis hotline, empowerment counseling, information and referrals, an emergency domestic violence shelter, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, accompaniment, and support groups. All services are FREE and CONFIDENTIAL.
The Abuse Network also provides free prevention and awareness education training to schools, local groups, and community members. There are also various volunteer opportunities with the agency for those who wish to help their fellow community members.
American Red Cross of the Susquehanna Valley
Provides disaster relief to individuals and families in
both Mifflin and Juniata counties.
Provides youths with mentors and friends in a positive environment in Mifflin and Juniata counties.

DeLauter Youth Center
Offers programs in a safe environment for youths after school in Mifflintown.
- Tuesaday Evenings: Central PA Youth Ministries for junior and senior high youths
- Thursday Evenings: Open to kids junior high age and under from 6:00 to 8:30 PM
Promotes strong mind and body in boys aged 7-20,
preparing responsible citizens and leaders.
Both counties offer many programs including children's story time and free Internet access.

Offers programs in a safe environment for youths after school:
Fridays and Saturdays 7:00-9:00: Drop-In (ages 8-18)
Every Other Tuesday 6:30-8:30: SONshine Club (ages 6-12)
Every Other Wednesday 7:00: Venturing Crew 8 (ages 14-20)
School year: Monday – Thursday 3:15-5:00: Kids Café (Grades 1-12)
June: Rainbow Summer (ages 6-11)
July and August: Fun-In-The-Sun (ages 7-14)
Mifflin-Juniata Energy Bank
Energy Bank provides heat assistance to residents of Mifflin or Juniata County ineligible for Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) benefits. Services are tentatively available November 9, 2015, through March 31, 2016. There is no income eligibility, but co-payment based on income does apply. Residents ages 65+ are eligible for Energy Bank assistance regardless of receipt of LIHEAP benefits. Financial health, energy conservation, and weatherization information is provided.

Provides programs for anyone affected by a person with special needs:

Help is on the Line!
Provides casework, transportation to medical services, advocacy, chore services, pre-school vision screening, and eye safety education in Mifflin and Juniata counties.
